Have a local business? Let me help you promote it for Small Business Saturday, and continuing throughout the holiday season! Everybody knows Black Friday is next week, but it’s followed by another special shopping day that I really believe in, and that’s called Small Business Saturday. The idea is that after the wild rush of shopping at national retailers on Black Friday, shoppers should take a day to just check out what their smaller, local stores have to offer.
As part of the Small Business Saturday promotion, I want to help small businesses by promoting you on a special Shop Local post on my website which would go live the day after Thanksgiving. After Small Biz Saturday, it would be moved to a special Shop Local tab on the top of my site where it will remain through 2015. I will remind my FB and Twitter readers about these local advertisers repeatedly throughout the holiday season, and I will search engine-optimize the post so people looking for local businesses in Livingston Parish would be likely to find it.
The ad would be $25 for text only, or $35 for text plus a photo or coupon. The first business to offer $100 for premium placement at the top of the list would get dibs on it, The next business would be offered second position for $50. Everyone else would be first come, first served.

I have a FIRM DEADLINE of Wednesday for a guarantee of inclusion in the blog post by Friday. I’ll accept ads after that time and will add them to the Shop Local tab where they’ll remain through 2015 and will continue to receive promotion here on the DD FB page, but they won’t be added before Small Biz Saturday unless I have the ad and payment in by Wednesday.
While I’d love to see ads from crafters, boutiques, and restaurants, I’d also welcome local service providers (realtors, repairmen, painters, babysitters, housekeepers, etc.)! Many people need services as well as gifts at this time of year. If you offer a special promotion to my readers like, “Say you heard about us on Denham Deals and receive…” you’ll draw even more attention to your business!
Please note: I will only accept only one ad for each direct sales company such as Avon, Thirty-One, Mary Kay, Plexus, etc. The first one to book their ad will be the exclusive rep for them in the ad.
