Juban Crossing Updates and Rumors

by Becky on January 9, 2015

While Juban Crossing’s official Facebook page is keeping mum on the subject, a few new store openings have been confirmed through job opening postings and employees of other locations:

Maurice’s will be opening at Juban Crossing on May 22nd, according to an assistant manager of their Baton Rouge location.  Maurice’s is owned by the same parent company as Lane Bryant, and features women’s clothing (sizes 1 to 24), shoes, and accessories.  Apply for Juban Crossing Maurice’s positions here.

Charming Charlie is currently hiring for Juban Crossing, though no opening date has yet been made available.  Interested candidates can apply for positions here (you’ll be required to create an account before you can see the listings for the Denham Springs store.)  Charming Charlie sells women’s costume jewelry, shoes, handbags, and clothing.

Dairy Queen Grill ‘n’ Chill has a sign up at the corner of Juban and Buddy Ellis announcing that they will be coming soon.  The Livingston Business Journal noted in April 2014 that DQ was planned to be the first new restaurant built in the Juban Crossing area.

Bath & Body Works is rumored to be coming to Juban Crossing as well.

A July 2014 story in the Livingston Business Journal, interviewing JC developer Stephen Keller of Creekstone Companies, said that, “Other businesses slated for Juban Crossing are Old Navy, Kohl’s, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, Zea’s, Walk On’s Restaurant, Michaels, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Menchie’s, Izzo’s, Verizon, Subway, Lens Crafters, CVS, Rouses, Hallmark, Rue 21, Cato, Pier 1, Men’s Wearhouse, Charming Charlie’s, Carter’s Clothing, Financial Bank, GNC and Mattress Firm.”

Obviously two of these — Old Navy and Rouses — have opened or will be opening within weeks.  Will keep an eye on the latest to see if any of the other suggested businesses make official announcements or post job listings.  Leave a comment if you have any intel, please!
